The Dress

Beautiful Suzanne Neville Phoenix wedding dress worn for my wedding at the end of October 2023 from the SN Nova collection 2022.

It's a stunning dress and very comfortable to wear for the whole day! It's A-line, fitted on the top, and then the skirts comes out from the waist. It is ivory, with a really unique brocade fabric (I've hopefully shown that in the photos). It has a corset which is tied first tied in, and then secured with lovely buttons, which is very flattering. It then has a beautiful A-line skirt, which is fully lined. The skirt has a detachable mesh insert at the back to add volume to the skirt and then can be taken off for dancing later on. It also has pockets which were so fun on the day! I had lots of comments from friends and family about how elegant the dress looked and how beautiful the fabric is.

The front and back are both V-shaped. The photo of the back of the dress is from Suzanne Neville's instagram as I think it shows the feature back and train best. Another bonus of the dress is that because of the quality of the fabric it didn't crease at all in the dress bag or on the day, so no concerns about ironing it too.

I've not actually seen any other brides wearing this dress so it felt very special to be wearing such a unique dress.

I am size 8 normally, and the dress was altered to fit my measurements - the main alterations were to the length at the front (they are all so long!) and to bring the buttons in at the waist. No length was taken off the train, but a bustle tie and finger loop were added too.

The dress has been worn once, and has been professionally dry cleaned by a drycleaner that specialises in wedding dresses. It didn't rain on our wedding day and the majority of the day was inside, so the only 'wear' to the dress was a bit of dirt on the train which has been dried cleaned away. There was no damage caused to the dress at all so it has no 'flaws'.
