The Dress

I bought this dress back in January 2020 for my original wedding in September 2020, which unfortunately got cancelled due to Covid. We decided to put it on hold a few years whilst I was at uni and have now started planning again. However, seeing as I bought the dress over 4.5 yrs ago, it doesn’t fit like it did back then! Which is a shame because the dress itself is absolutely stunning. I had it made and chose the colour ‘Moscato’ for the fabric underneath which is almost like a beautiful blush. The gown is covered in ivory lace, which soft sequins in certain spots to sparkle in the light. I absolutely love the back on this dress, it is so elegant and well, just stunning. The lace on the dress is perfect and so vintage looking. The dress fits perfect, apart from around my thighs, I can no longer bend in it to sit down & not much room for me to walk. I think this is because I have put on weight since I bought it and my shape has changed, but also with there being so much lace there is no stretch in it at all particularly round the middle part where the lacing is thick. This honestly breaks my heart as even nearly 5 yrs on I absolutely adore this dress in every way! My hips just aren’t the same as they were 5 yrs ago. This is purely the only reason I am looking to sell, as I am looking for an alternative dress similar to this but bigger. The dress is labled as a size 14, on my bottom half I am a size 14 now and there is not much room for movement. So personally I think it would fit better on someone who is a size 12 and then there is always room to alter if needed. The dress is new, still has all of the tags on and the only time it has been worn was to try it on back in 2020 and again recently. I would love for this dress to absolutely shine on someone else, it’s beautiful. The dress has had no alterations.
