The Dress
This is a stunning couture dress by Melbourne based designer Luci DiBella. Her designs are all about the 20's, 30's and 40's and have a beautiful, timeless glamour to them.
The dress was custom made from silk, chiffon and Italian beaded deco lace.
There is a silk sheath, with a chiffon overlay before finally having a full lace overlay which also then makes up the train.
The dress is fully covered in the lace which is more intricate on the bodice of the dress. The lace is the stunning part of this dress. The lace is beaded in pearls and crystals and has a silver thread. I am still yet to find anything that comes close in respect of the lace. It is a beaded lace and the light really catches onto beads. It looks gorgeous in photos, especially later in the evening.
There is a gorgeous train which can bustle at the back of the dress onto a button.
Boned from the bust to the hips. The bust is slightly padded. Because of the boning and padding it is unnecessary to wear a bra.
Lace straps however the dress could easily be worn strapless.
Back zip with buttons to then hide the zip.
When the dress was made for me I measured a size 10 waist, a size 10 hips and size 10F bust. I am 167cm tall and had 8cm stilettos on (very plain with no embellishment so that they did not catch up the lace - a tip from Luci). The dress could easily be taken in where necessary.
Our wedding was in a Church followed by a reception at an old homestead (Quamby Estate - where Kate Richie got married) and the dress was perfect for the setting.
How did I know this is the dress for me? Luci asked me what our wedding was going to be like and what I was envisaging - not what sort of dress I was picturing. I described to Luci the beautiful Church where I had gone to school followed by the reception at an old homestead, lots of white surrounded with green paddocks. She walked out with dress and I knew it was what I had been looking for.
The dress cost $4,800.00.
Excellent condition. Worn once and then dry cleaned. The bodice is immaculate. The dress on the bottom has a very slight fraying but nothing that you could tell, I am just very pedantic about what I sell.
On ebay my seller name is luckjacq, you will see I have very positive feedback.
