The Dress

This dress is new (received from the designer just a year ago) and has never been worn other than for alterations. The original bodice for this style was a v-neck, which I had custom-modified at the time of order to a plunging neckline. I love my dress. I felt regal in it. In the light, every bit of the dress sparkles. The dress is made of tulle and lots of chantilly lace. The dress may feel a bit heavy as you walk with the train fanned out behind you (as with most dresses with cathedral-length trains), but when bustled, the dress is very easy to move around in. I am a small B-cup, so I added some padded inserts to help fill out the chest a bit. The dress is very comfortable and has some "give" in the hips and thighs as you move. The shoulder straps sit nicely and don't fall. As I mentioned, I simply love my dress. Unfortunately, due to personal and unforeseen circumstances, my wedding was canceled. The dress has only been out of the original garment bag three times and has never been outside. I hope this dress finds its way to someone who can enjoy its beauty and it makes that person feel as special and joyful as I did when I first tried it on. Alterations

Alterations include adjusting the straps and shortening the dress (which included modifying the train and adding pearls to allow for a bustle). I am 5'4"- when worn with a 3" heel, the dress dusts the floor, and the toe of the shoe peeks through as you walk.
