The Dress

Sherbet (Blush) tulle ball Lazaro bridal gown, featured on the TV series Say Yes to the Dress. The gown has a pleated silk satin organza bodice with sweetheart neckline, floral crystal-encrusted band at natural waist, circular gathered skirt, chapel train with bustle. It has a concealed zip up the back hidden by silk buttons, so it looks like a button-up without all the hassle!

All original tags still available with the dress and I have the matching blush bridal heels (as pictured in photo of the hanging dress) in an AU size 8 and blush bridal handbag.

This was my absolute dream dress which I saw years before I got married when it was released in the Spring 2011 Lazaro Collection. For a ballgown it was incredibly lightweight and comfortable due to the skirts being tulle, and I wore it in mid-January on a sunny 27 degree day in Queenstown, New Zealand with no trouble. Something I really fell in love with about this dress is the fact that it's so unique; the Sherbet/Blush colour gives a very subtle hint of pink which really sets the dress apart from regular white or ivory styles without being obviously or overwhelmingly unusual. The skirt itself involves several layers of different coloured tulle, ranging from lemony yellows to peachy pinks and even white, creating the soft blush effect which, as you can see from photos, changes the colour of the dress depending on the light. I adored the floral embellishments on the waistband paired with the simplicity of the bodice and the floaty skirt, and I have had so many comments about how uniquely stunning the dress was both on my wedding day and afterwards. I found this dress really difficult to locate in Australia after seeing it online and then later on Say Yes to the Dress, and I was lucky enough to try the dress on when it came to Australia as part of a trunk show from New York and I didn't waste any time in placing my order with the designer on the spot! Even though part of me wants to keep this dress forever, I'm selling it because I would love to give another bride the opportunity to wear this beautiful gown, as I know how difficult it is to locate within Australia.
