The Dress

This Oglia-Loro Couture wedding dress was custom designed and made to measure.
Worn once on the 31st October, 2016.

Shape: I would describe the shape of the dress as a trumpet. It has a built in corset to cinch in the waist. It hugs the body to the mid-thigh before flaring out into numerous layers of tulle.

Size: As it was made to measure, it was made to fit my body shape perfectly. I am a size 8 approximately.

Measurements:
Bust: 88cm
Waist (at the smallest): 68cm
Stomach (at belly button point): 74cm
Hips (at the hip bones): 89cm
Bum (widest part): 94cm
Height: 168.5cm & I wore 10cm heels

Material: The bodice is made of ivory coloured silk with full lace applique hand sewn onto it. The décolletage area and back area has super fine, flesh coloured illusion tulle which gives the dress a strapless / backless appearance. Lace applique has been added to the back in a racer-back type style to conceal the zip. The bottom of the dress flares out into numerous layers of tulle. As the train is quite long, the dress has a button on the back where the train can be folded up for dancing at the reception.

The dress has been hand cleaned at Australia’s leading wedding dress dry cleaner, Syndal’s Bridal Dry Cleaners, the cost of this was $608.00.

The matching veil is also available complimentary, at no extra cost. This veil was also custom made to suit the dress and is valued at approx. $1,000.00.
