The Dress

Sizing and fit:

The french lace dress:
The lace overlay is the size 8, but fitted perfectly over the size 10 slip which I wore for my wedding.
I'm 5'2" and wore 10cm heels (see pictures). The style would suit any height without alteration.
The lace overlay that is fixed with a row of silk cushioned buttons with silky loops that go all the way down the back.
The slip:
Champagne coloured, above the knee, boned strapless silk dress. The boning is a corset-style for shape, but is moveable and very comfortable.
Size 10 slip (worn, altered, dry-cleaned) or size 8 (never worn) - both come with the dress.
The size 8 slip is a very small 8, typical of Lover sizing (more like a size 6). I'm normally a size 6-8 at the hips and 8-10 at the bust.
You do not need to wear a bra but could if you wanted to. I'm a 10DD and was quite comfortable bra-free.

Styling:

The lace slip worn over the top is intricate, it falls beautifully with a stunning train that can be bustled over the buttons on the back of the dress. The french lace has a wonderful adaptability that drapes over the slip; it flatters and does not cling.
I've also seen this dress styled with a simple spaghetti strap slip if you are not comfortable with the strapless style.
The tea-length front of the dress lends itself well to styling with statement shoes. I chose a pair of velvet, wine coloured Alexander Wang heals.
The train has a ribbon that can be looped onto your wrist, or over a lower button if you prefer to have your wrist free.

Fabric composition and care:

Lace is 85% Rayon and 15% Nylon.
Undergarment 100% Silk.
Has been kept in the dress bag (folded to reduce stress on the lace) in a dust free environment. Pet free smoke free home.
Any minor creases in the lace will fall out by them selves when the dress is hung for a week or so.
Hand dry clean or hand wash with extreme care (in consultation with manufacturer).

Will post via Australia Post (registered post at buyers expense). The dress is quite compact and lightweight when folded.

I'd planned to sell the dress to raise funds for our next big adventure, it's just taken a while for me to get around to listing it!
I got married October 2016, the dress has just been sadly sitting in the cupboard. It deserves to be worn again! I fell in love with this dress even before I saw it in person..then I didn't even bother trying anything else on when I saw it in the flesh! (It was impossible to go past).

The tag has been cut off at the neck of the dress, as you could see it through the lace.
The size 10 slip has been modified (taken up slightly and taken in at the hips - both reversible)
No modifications to the lace dress, there is very very faint mark on the train of the dress but not at all noticeable.
