The Dress

Lovingly crafted in Italy, Alexander McQueen's ornate cotton-blend lace gown is detailed with pretty scalloped edges and delicate eyelash fringing. This silk-lined design has sheer sleeves, a waist-defining detachable belt and front slit for ease of movement. I love the timeless elegance of its wrap-style column silhouette. The belt is embellished with small multi coloured stones.

I'm a size 8 normally with a DD bust. The dress is wrap around style so can be flexible on size. I'm $165cm tall and wore an 11cm heel. The dress was taken up to be just above the ground.

The dress was purchased from Neiman Marcus in US for $4500 on sale and imported to Australia ($4197+AUtaxes). The dress was also listed on Net-a-Porter for 2997 Euro. The dress and belt has been professionally dry-cleaned by Leon's in Brisbane.

A small piece of netting was added to the shoulder to create a more defined shoulder and also to the back of the neck to ensure the lace stood up. Both can be easily removed without damaging fabric.
