Gemma shares her story on how she used the money from the sale of her wedding dress to buy something really worthwhile…
"If you are thinking about selling your wedding dress but are feeling unsure because....well it’s the most beautiful dress you have ever owned and worn! My advice is to sell the dress and commit to spending the money on something that is meaningful to you.
I always knew that I wanted to sell my wedding dress because it is such a beautiful and expensive garment that it would be a shame to store it away for years to come and risk the fabric becoming discoloured. My husband is rather thrifty and so he thought that it was a great idea to sell the dress and put the money towards something that we both love. Knowing that I would sell my dress also made me feel better about spending so much on a brand new dress.
Still White was a pleasure to use. I especially love the 'instant' message style of email to speak to prospective buyers. I also loved that I could upload quite a few photographs which I think really helped me sell my dress."
Gemma’s dress was viewed 961 times and sold for $1400 within 7 weeks. She is now spending the money on a puppy! "We are getting a 10 week old Tibetan spaniel puppy, his name is Pepsi and we can't wait to welcome him into our family!"
To all the brides out there who have a husband who is 'on the fence' about getting a puppy - purchasing the puppy with the sale of your wedding gown is a deal that I am sure no husband can refuse!
