Rain or shine, the smile on this bride's face was enough to brighten their happy wedding day.
From the bride: "I woke up in the morning to a downpour of rain and knew we were in for a wet one. Luckily we’d hired a last minute marquee for our ceremony so our guests were nice and dry to watch us say “I do”.
I always thought I’d wear a slinky, backless number but when I found the 'Selena' gown by Karen Willis Holmes I knew it was the dress for me. It was so flattering. Booby but not too booby. And the skirt, OMG the skirt is divine. I really felt like a princess.
My mother walked me down the aisle following our 3 dogs, 3 nephews and my 3 best friends. Breaking tradition I had one of my dear male friends as one of my bridesmaids and he wore a matching suit to our groomsmen. My husband also had his sister on his side, which I loved. We tied the knot as our friends and family drank champers, then made our way to Whale beach for our (rather wet) photos.
Anyone who gets married will tell you – weddings are expensive! The money I can get back from the dress will help replenish our funds."
